Ater Fort was built by king Badan Singh Bhadouria in 1664-1668.Also, Maha Singh and Bakhat Singh have Contributing in Constraction of Ater Fort Bhind. After them the area is known as “BADHWAR”. 

The Fort of Ater is located near Ater town, Bhind, deep inside the ravines of Chambal. Now it is in a dilapidated condition. The main attractions of the fort are ‘Khooni Darwaza’, ‘Badan Singh Ka Mahal’, ‘Hathiapor’, ‘Raja Ka Bangla’, ‘Rani Ka Bangla’ and ‘Barah Khamba Mahal’.
